| Hello My Name is Mariah Steiner I am a second grader at Boscobel elementary school. I am your National American Miss 2008 Jr. Pre Teen State Ambassador. I have been in Pageants for 2 years now! Pageants are not all about beauty! It is about beauty within, Public speaking and community involvement just to name a few! See all these stuffed animals and books? I have collected all these to send to children in Iraq and children in the United States that there family’s are over seas fighting for our country. I call this “Operation Teddy Bear”! I will also be giving some of these Teddy Bears and Books to the Grant, Richland and Iowa county police department to give to children that are taken away from there parents because of domestic violence and or child abuse! This is a scary time in a child’s life to get taken away from there family but it is reality it does happen! A Teddy bear or a book of there own can make a difference. I will also donate some to Passages a battered women’s shelter in Richland Center Wisconsin and Foster Care children in Grant County. Please help me put a teddy Bear in the arms of children of all ages that need a hug! I may be small, but I can be loud, I am a girl with BIG Dreams and my Dream is for you (point your finger at the crowd) to help me (point to yourself) make a difference! Bring in as many stuffed animals and books that you can. There is a drop off point at Mrs. Kays office!! So remember Shoot for the moon because if you fall you will land on the stars! Thank You for taken time to listen to me. Together we can make a difference in the lives of other children! Is there any questions? |
