Well this is what I chose to do for
Fathers Day 2008 We Loaded up all
the stuff I no longer needed in my
family! From Clothes to shoes, books
to vcr tapes and many other items and
took them to st vincent de Paul in
Muscoda Wi Where they are
providing items to the American Red
Cross and the Flood Victims in Avoca
WI! I wish that there is more that I
could do! I was crying when my mom
told me about the victims losing there
house and everythign in it! but then she
said they have there family and that is
what maters most . So I wanted to
give the children of Avoca My stuffed
animals to sleep with! If you right click

On the night of June 12 My mom was listing to the news and she told me that all the people of Avoca WI were being evacuated (made
to leave there homes) because of the flood! I cried knowing that my dance teacher Betty and everyone else had to leave there homes
and move just a few things to the Muscoda School! I was full of Questions! 1) Will they ever be able to come back 2. why did the
water get so high? 3 Where do they have to sleep? 4. Do they need and help 5. Can I help? Well Mom yes we could start by
cleaning your room! I though WHAT? Well for the next 2 days I cleaned my room and mom cleaned her room and all the other rooms
in our house and we bagged up 7 bags full of all sizes of clothes (we have 6 people in our family) and a big box of shoes and vcr tapes,
dvds and a lot of other things! And then Sunday was Fathers day! So getting ready for this National American Miss pageant I thought
we would get Dad ready for the pack Mule job (that is what dads do Pageant week Pack 7 of my suit cases in 1 van) So we loaded
up all this stuff in the back of the van and we took all this stuff to the to St Vincent De Paul to be distributed to the families in need
from the Flood! I also Brought 2 Bags of my stuffed animals to Muscoda School for all the children that are sleeping in strange beds
and away from there homes. I know the kids will like them! When I arrived at the school al the children were at church so I gave them
to the red cross Volunteers to give out to the kids! I especially want to give a Ha Ray to the American Red Cross for taking time out
of there busy lives to Help this town in the time of need They left there families behind to take care of other families!! Also to my dad

| On June 23rd I stopped by to check on all the workers from the American Red Cross and they are so sweet! I told them about all that I have Learned from being in the pageant I learned personal intoroduction.. I said Hello my name is Mariah Steiner I am from Boscobel WI I live with my 3 brothers and my parents! When I gor up I want to be a Vetranrian becasuse I love takeing care of animals! Interview Skills: Show up 15 minutes early Don't offer to shake hands let them come to you for that! eye cantact is a must cross you legs at the ancles not the knees (kicking the interviewer would not be good) Sit up stright (posture is importaint) eleberate on the answers take a answer to 1 question and make small talk! tell them the whys and hows! This weekend was a blast a weekend I will never forget! It made me realize I can be anyting I want to be jsut have to work hard and Most of all HAVE FUN!
